iRAD launched in Meghalaya

Meghalaya October 12, 2021: iRAD (Integrated Road Accident Database) was launched by Smti RV Suchiang, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya on October 12, 2021 in the presence of ShriMRSynrem, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, Shri Timothy Dkhar, DDG & SIO, NIC and other Nodal officials from the Transport, Police and Health departments, PWD, Highway Authorities and NIC. iRAD has been implemented in the entire State with an aim to bring down the rate of road accidents. A total of 31 cases have so far been recorded in the iRAD application. Training and demonstration of the application is being provided on a daily basis to all the departments concerned in the Police department (Station House Offices), Transport Department (for the MVIs and staffs of the DTOs, Health departments (Private and Govt Hospitals, CHC, PHC, etc.) and the Highways and PWD officials.
