The launch of the Learner License from Home application marked Assam’s foray into Aadhaar Authenticated contactless services. It was a tremendous success in terms of the number of users availing the service within a very short period of time. Subsequently on October 28, 2021, two other online contactless online services – Duplicate Driving License (DDL) and Driving License Renewal (DLR) were launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam. The Chief Minister has taken the initiative to implement a bunch of about 20 such contactless services in the Transport Sector through NIC in the course of the next six months.
